NFC Business Cards in Fort Lauderdale & Pompano Beach: Local Ordering & Pickup Guide
Short answer: yes, you can get custom NFC business cards locally in Fort Lauderdale and Pompano Beach. Endless Etchings makes engraved metal and full-color vinyl NFC cards at our shop at 1110 South Cypress Road in Pompano Beach, about 15 minutes north of downtown Fort Lauderdale. You order and design the card online, approve a proof, and then either pick it up at the shop or have it shipped free anywhere in the US. Most orders are ready in about a week after you approve your design, and if you have a networking event sooner than that, call 954-554-3771 before you order to ask about rush timing.
This guide is for Broward County professionals who want their cards made nearby: how ordering works, when local pickup makes sense, how to time an order before an event, and the details that trip people up. If you're still deciding whether you need one at all, start with are NFC business cards worth it?
Why order NFC cards from a local shop?
NFC cards are sold everywhere online, so it's fair to ask what a Pompano Beach shop adds. Three practical things:
- A card that actually works on iPhone. Many cheap NFC cards store a contact file on the chip, and iPhones won't open that. Ours link to your own digital profile with a one-tap Save Contact button, which opens on iPhone and Android with no app. The details are in do NFC business cards work on iPhone?
- A real engraving shop behind the metal cards. Metal cards are laser engraved on the front in the same shop that does our metal engraving, plaques and tumblers.
- Pickup instead of waiting on a carrier. If you live or work in Broward, you can choose local pickup at checkout and grab the cards yourself.
How ordering works, step by step
- Create your digital card. Sign up free and add your name, phone, email, website and social links. It takes a couple of minutes, and the profile is what people see when they tap.
- Pick metal or vinyl. Engraved metal is $39 each for 1–9 cards ($32 for 10–24, $27 for 25+) and includes 1 year of Pro. Full-color vinyl is $19 each for 1–9 ($15 for 10–24, $12 for 25+) and includes 3 months of Pro. There's no setup fee.
- Choose your design route. Let us design the card from your profile and logo (add notes for our designer), or upload your own front artwork as a JPG.
- Choose pickup or shipping and pay. Check the pickup box if you want to collect the cards in Pompano Beach. Otherwise US shipping is free.
- Approve the proof. Your order status shows on your card as it moves from proof to approved to shipped, or ready for pickup.

Pickup in Pompano Beach vs. free shipping
Both options cost nothing extra, so pick the one that fits your week.
| Choose pickup if… | Choose shipping if… |
|---|---|
| You're in Pompano, Fort Lauderdale, Deerfield, Lighthouse Point or nearby and pass Cypress Road anyway | You're outside South Florida, or across the county and don't want the drive |
| You want the cards in hand the day they're ready | You're not in a rush and would rather they come to you |
| You're picking up a team order and want to check every name before handing them out | Each team member is in a different office or city |
Shop hours are Monday–Friday 9–5 and Saturday 10–2, closed Sunday. Wait until your order shows ready for pickup before you head over.
Timing your order before a Broward event
The most common mistake we see is ordering cards the week of the event. Work backward from the date:
- Two weeks or more out: order normally. That leaves time for a proof round, about a week of production after you approve it, and a buffer.
- Less than two weeks: approve your proof the same day you get it. The clock really starts at approval, not at checkout.
- Less than a week: call 954-554-3771 before ordering to ask about rush timing. Meanwhile, your free digital card works right away. Download its QR code and show it from your phone or print it on a sign.
This applies to chamber mixers, referral group meetings, open houses, trade shows at the Broward County Convention Center, and the boat show season, when a lot of marine and hospitality reps are meeting new people every day.
How Fort Lauderdale and Pompano professionals use them
- Realtors and mortgage pros: tap at an open house so buyers save your number before they leave, and update your listings link without reprinting.
- Marine, yacht and hospitality reps: a metal card holds up better on a dock or in a pocket than paper, and your contact lands in the other person's phone instead of getting lost in a bag.
- Contractors and home services: tap in the homeowner's kitchen so you're the saved contact, not a card on the fridge.
- Salons, barbers and fitness pros: put your booking link and Instagram first, since that's what clients actually use.
- Offices and sales teams: the Team plan is $100 per year for 5 digital cards managed from one dashboard. Physical cards are ordered separately, and full-color vinyl keeps a team order affordable.
Five details to get right before you order
- Fill in your profile first. The card is only as useful as the page it opens. Add the phone number and links people really use.
- Know that the metal back stays blank. Metal cards are engraved on the front only. The back is left blank so the phone can read the chip through it, and that's the side you tap.
- Use a one-tone logo on metal. Engraving gives you a single silver tone. If your logo depends on color, choose vinyl. Fine hairlines and tiny taglines also get lost at card size, so simplify to the strongest part of the mark.
- Upload clean artwork. If you supply your own design, send a sharp, high-resolution JPG sized to a standard business card shape. A screenshot of your website logo will look exactly as fuzzy as it arrives.
- Keep the QR code handy. Your QR code lives on your digital card, not printed on the physical card. Show it from your phone, or put it on flyers and email signatures, for anyone whose phone has NFC turned off.
